The Best Pushbullet Alternatives in 2026

Pushbullet made sending a link from your phone to your computer feel effortless. In 2026 it still runs, but there is no iPhone app, updates are rare, and the clipboard feature is behind Pro. Here are the alternatives worth your time (four of them free) and when each one fits.

Pick by what you used Pushbullet for

Notifications and texts on a Windows PC

Microsoft Phone Link

Free, built into Windows, and works with Android and iPhone for texts, calls, and notifications.

Free, open source, on the home network

KDE Connect

Clipboard, files, and links between your phone and Linux, Windows, or macOS, plus notifications on Android.

Text and links between any phone and any computer

Pasteable

iPhone or Android (through the web app today) to Mac, Windows, or Linux, with one end-to-end encrypted, searchable history.

Only Apple devices

Apple Universal Clipboard

Built in and automatic between an iPhone and a Mac nearby.

A desktop clipboard you can script

CopyQ

Free and open source on Linux, Windows, and macOS. No phone side, so pair it with one of the above.

The alternatives

Five honest options

Not a ranking: they solve different problems. Each card ends with its catch, ours included.

Where Pasteable stands: The iPhone and Android apps are in App Store and Play Store review and not downloadable yet. Until then your phone uses the web app.

  1. 01

    KDE Connect

Free and local, on any desktop

    Price
    Free (open source)
    Runs on
    Linux · Windows · macOS · Android · iOS

Install it on both devices and pair them on the same network. On Android, tap “Send clipboard” in its notification; on iPhone, tap “push clipboard”.

The catch: Both devices must be on the same network (or paired over Bluetooth). No images on the shared clipboard, no history, and on iPhone it only goes phone → computer.

  2. 02

    Pasteable

    We make this one

Any phone to any computer, with a history

    Price
    Free · Pro $6/mo or $60/yr · $80 founder lifetime
    Runs on
Mac · Windows · Linux · Web (phone apps in store review)

Open pasteableapp.com/app in your phone’s browser, tap “Paste from clipboard”, and the clip syncs to your Mac, Windows, or Linux history, end-to-end encrypted. It takes one tap; it is not automatic.

The catch: On a phone it is one tap in the browser today, not automatic. Free syncs your 25 most recent clips; Pro syncs up to 10,000. No notification mirroring or texting.

  3. 03

    Microsoft Phone Link

    Supported Android phones on Windows

    Price
    Free, built into Windows
    Runs on
    Windows + Android or iPhone

In Phone Link on your PC, turn on Settings → Features → Cross-device copy and paste. Then copy on one and paste on the other.

The catch: Copy and paste works only on Surface Duo and select Samsung, HONOR, OPPO, ASUS, vivo, and Xiaomi phones, for text and images. Not with iPhone.

  4. 04

    Apple Universal Clipboard

    iPhone and Mac, nothing else

    Price
    Free, built in
    Runs on
Mac · iPhone · iPad · Vision Pro

Sign in to the same Apple Account with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Handoff on. Copy on one device and paste on the other nearby.

The catch: Apple devices only, and they have to be near each other. Nothing reaches a Windows or Linux PC.

  5. 05

    CopyQ

Desktop power users who script their tools

    Price
    Free (open source)
    Runs on
    Linux · Windows · macOS

A scriptable clipboard history on the desktop. It can sync a tab with a folder you keep in Dropbox or on a network share.

The catch: No phone app, so it does not move text from your phone at all. Pair it with something else for that.

When to keep Pushbullet

You are on Android and Windows, you rely on notification mirroring and texting from your PC, and it still works for you. None of the clipboard tools here replace that. Switching makes sense when you get an iPhone, add a Mac or Linux machine, or want a history you can search.

Pasteable vs Pushbullet

Feature by feature: platforms, iPhone, encryption, file sizes, and price, with what Pushbullet still does better.

FAQ

Common questions

Is Pushbullet dead?+

Not dead, but slow. The service runs and the Android app is still on Google Play, last updated in August 2025. There is no iPhone app, and the Firefox add-on was last updated in March 2023. If it still does what you need on Android and Windows, there is no rush to switch.

What is the best free Pushbullet alternative?+

KDE Connect. It is free and open source, runs on Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, and covers the clipboard, files, links, and notifications, as long as your devices share a network. On Windows with a supported phone, Phone Link is free too.

What is a good Pushbullet alternative for iPhone?+

For iPhone to a Mac, Apple Universal Clipboard is built in. For iPhone to Windows or Linux, Pasteable works today in Safari: open pasteableapp.com/app and tap “Paste from clipboard”. The iPhone app is in App Store review and not downloadable yet.

Does Pasteable mirror notifications or send SMS like Pushbullet?+

No. Pasteable is a clipboard manager: it keeps what you copy, makes it searchable, and syncs it between your devices, end-to-end encrypted. For notifications, use Phone Link or KDE Connect alongside it.

How much does Pasteable cost compared with Pushbullet Pro?+

Pasteable is free with 25 synced clips. Pro is $6/month, $60/year, or $80 once (founder price for the first 100 lifetime buyers), and syncs up to 10,000 clips. One purchase covers all your devices. Pushbullet Pro is $4.99/month or $39.99/year.
